The World of Syrah: Kick-off Event
Join us as we officially kick off the Celebrate wine weekend with an energizing and informative talk on Syrah given by Patrick Comiskey, the Senior Correspondent from Wine & Spirits Magazine, alongside Celebrate Walla Walla veteran, Doug Frost. Doug Frost is an American Master of Wine and Master Sommelier as well as an author and wine consultant based in Kansas City, Missouri. Frost is one of four individuals in the world to hold simultaneously the Master of Wine and Master Sommelier titles, achieving his MS in 1991 and MW in 1993. Patrick Comiskey is a Senior Correspondent for Wine & Spirits Magazine, where he serves as chief critic for all American wines not from California, and regularly contributes articles devoted to California, Oregon and Washington wine, winegrowing, and wine culture. Comiskey is also a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times, is an instructor on the wine business at UCLA, and is an award-winning author.
