Halloween 2017 – Local Events Roundup
Halloween is a week away, and Walla Walla businesses are feeling festive! There will be a variety of parties and events over the weekend with options for young and old. Here is a list of the events we found. Did we miss something? Let us know at email@example.com.
Tuesday, October 24:
6PM-7:30PM Milton-Freewater Library Halloween Party
Community Building (109 NE 5th Ave., Milton-Freewater)
Games, crafts, a Mad Scientist Laboratory, cookies, and punch. Be sure to wear your costumes!
Friday, October 27:
8PM-10PM – “Slay It Forward“
Charles Smith Winery (35 S. Spokane Street, Walla Walla)
A drag show presented by Haus of Roust. Costumes are encouraged. All proceeds benefit subsidized meals for underprivileged children in the Walla Walla Valley.
8:30PM-12:30PM – Halloween Dance Party
Foundry Vineyards (1111 Abadie Street, Walla Walla)
$8 in advance / $10 at the door
Come dressed in your best costume, enjoy food by Why Not Pizza, art by Remy Aftermath, wine cocktails by Foundry Vineyards, and music by DJ Lotek.
9PM-12AM – Halloween Party
Halloween party/costume contest.
9PM-1AM – Sweet Halloween Bash
The Getaway Casino and Bowlaway Lanes (1831 Portland Avenue, Walla Walla)
Party with the Walla Walla Sweets Rollergirls. Music by DJ Esparza. Drink specials. Costume Contest in the categories of “Best Male”, “Best Female”, and “Best Couple”.
Saturday, October 28:
2PM-5PM – Trunk or Treat
Walla Walla Valley Honda (1240 SE Commercial Drive, College Place)
Walk the car lot and stop by different vehicles to fill up on candy! Vote for the spookiest car decorated by one of Walla Walla’s local charities! The winning charity will receive a $500 donation!
5PM-8PM – Eternal Darkness Halloween Party
Drink Washington State & Eternal Wines (9 S. 1st Avenue, Walla Walla)
Costume contest in the categories of “Best Couple”, “Most Scary”, “Sexiest”, and “Overall Best Costume”. Photo booth. Music. Wine.
7PM-10PM – Hallo-Wine Party
Live music by Robin Barrett and Tiphony Dames. Wine by the glass or bottle, beer, and wine slushies. Costume contest in the categories of “Most Creative”, “Most Scary” and “Best Group”.
8PM-11PM – Annual Halloween Bash
Waterbrook Winery (10518 W Highway 12, Walla Walla)
$20 tickets (includes first glass of wine)
A SPOOKtacular evening of appetizers, wine, games, and live DJ. Prize for best costume. RSVP required at firstname.lastname@example.org or 509-522-1262.
9PM-1:30AM – Halloween Party

Karaoke at 9PM. Costume contest at 10PM (cash prizes)

DJ Matt McCallum spinning dance music all night long. $1 jello shots and other drink specials. Costume contest at midnight with $300+ in cash and prizes.

Sunday, October 29:
10AM-3PM – Fall Carnival at the Museum
Children’s Museum (77 Wainwright Drive, Walla Walla)
$5-$7 per child
Ages: 10 and under
Annual carnival event with games, prizes, and snacks. Proceeds benefit a new Science program.
Monday, October 30:
4:30PM-5:30PM – Halloween Storytime
Plaza Way Community Library (1640 Plaza Way, Walla Walla)
Stories, crafts, and goodies. Costumes encouraged!
Tuesday, October 31:
3PM-5PM – Downtown Walla Walla Trick or Treat
Downtown Walla Walla
Les Schwab will provide free bags and photo booth. Carnival games on Alder Street between 1st and Colville Streets hosted by Williams Team Homes. Other downtown businesses on Main Street will provide trick or treats for passing visitors.
2PM-5PM – Dayton Main Street Trick or Treat
Bring your costumed kids to Downtown Dayton to Trick or Treat at local businesses! Look for the “HERE” posters to find participating businesses.
3PM-6PM – College Place Halloween
College Place City Hall
Bring your young trick-or-treaters to City Hall for fun and treats. The Fire Department will host a Harvest Maze for ages 10 and under. Kids can take a photo with a fireman or police officer, and even sit in a fire truck or police cruiser.
3:30PM-5:30PM – Harvest Festival
Walla Walla Presbyterian Church (325 S. 1st Avenue, Walla Walla)
Dress up in your costumes and bring your kids to experience an old fashioned Harvest Carnival with popcorn, candy, photo booth, a puppet show and more!
4PM-7PM – Family Trunk or Treat
Mr. Ed’s (2555 E Isaacs Ave, Walla Walla)
Vendors will have candy and treats for the kids under the covered parking area.
4PM-8PM – Trick or Treat the Land of Oz
Stateline Church (85440 Highway 11, Milton-Freewater)
Against the Flow Youth Ministry present a warm, indoor, safe location to bring the family for fun and treats.
5:30PM – Walla Walla YMCA Spooktacular
Walla Walla YMCA (340 S. Park Street, Walla Walla)
The Walla Walla YMCA is hosting a fun and safe Halloween night of games, prizes, treats, a haunted house, and for the first time ever – The Haunted Swamp!
7PM-11PM – Halloween Horror Film + Costume Contest
Gesa Power House Theatre (111 N. 6th Avenue, Walla Walla)
A screening of the 1968 classic horror film “Night of the Living Dead”. Followed by a costume contest in the categories of “Best”, “Funniest”, “Most Original”, and “Sexiest”, and an After Party hosted by Chardonnay. Drink discounts for anyone in costume.
