Press Release: Menopause The Musical Off-Broadway Tour to stop in Walla Walla August 1-4

Pacific Power presents the Off-Broadway touring production of Menopause The Musical at Gesa Power House Theatre with five performances August 1-4.

Menopause The Musical is a joyous celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived “The Change.” Four women meet in a New York department store at a lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra…and memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, not enough sex, too much sex, and more! This hilarious musical parody is set to classic tunes from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

Menopause The Musical, now in its eighteenth year of production, is recognized as the longest-running scripted production in Las Vegas and entertains audiences nightly at Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. The Off-Broadway touring version has entertained audiences in more than 450 US cities, nearly 300 international cities, and in 15 countries.

Performances of Menopause The Musical will be August 1, 2, and 3 at 7:00 p.m. and August 3 and 4 at 2:00 p.m.

Reserved seating tickets ($47-$35) are available online at www.phtww.com or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. Group ticket sales are available by calling 509-876-1662.

The Walla Walla Summer Stage Series is presented by: Pacific Power.

The 2019 Season is supported in part by: Union-Bulletin, Coldwell Banker First Realtors, Foundry Vineyards, KAPP-KVEW, Inland Cellular, Pacific Power, McCurley Integrity Toyota of Walla Walla, Courtyard Marriott, and Northwest Public Broadcasting.

About the Gesa Power House Theatre

The historic Gesa Power House Theatre is a 300-seat performing arts venue, located in downtown Walla Walla. The 120-year-old building was once the Walla Walla Gas Plant, built to produce coal gas used to light the streets, businesses, and homes of Walla Walla. In 2011 the Gesa Power House Theatre building was transformed into a state-of-the-art playhouse for live performance. The interior design of the theatre was inspired by Shakespeare’s own intimate Blackfriars Theatre in London, England.

The Gesa Power House Theatre is on the Washington State Building Preservation Commission list of State historic buildings and on the National Register of Historic Places. The venue also hosts a variety of other cultural events, musical concerts, and private events (including weddings).
